I will be running in my undies this February so kids like Ian can grow up happy and healthy.
Ian is 2 years old and was diagnosed with NF when he was just 3 months old.
While this is just the beginning of an uncertain journey for Ian, his sister Nora, and his parents, Ian has provided his family with the strength and determination to tackle each visit with enthusiasm and positivity. He has won over each and every doctor he sees with his funny, engaging and loveable personality, but more than that, even at just two years of age, he has the presence and ability to maintain a calmness during his visits that amazes everyone including the doctors and nurses he sees. Whether being examined by the neurologist or ophthalmologist, getting a biopsy by the dermatologist, meeting the oncologist for the first time, or working with his physical therapist Ian never fails to impress.
While Ian’s future with NF is filled with uncertainty, one thing his family is certain of is that Ian will meet every challenge head on, and display his courage, all the time staying the exuberant and mischievous little man they love so much.
You can help by donating or joining our team of undie-clad runners. Your donation will provide critical funding that will allow for treatments, clinical trials and ultimately will fund the research to find a cure for NF.
Together, we can be the difference in the lives of children like Ian and help #endNF.
